Cape Lodge

The lodge has 22 romantically secluded rooms, a quaint 2 bedroom Cottage and a magnificent 5 bedroom private luxury Residence. The superb Cape Lodge Restaurant has been voted in the ‘Top Ten in the World for Food’ in Conde Nast Traveller’s Gold List and is described as “one of Australia’s finest new generation dining establishments.” The menu changes daily and the superbly crafted dishes can be matched with premium back vintage wines from the extensive temperature controlled wine cellar.

Stay

Cape Lodge offers guests a choice of six accommodation options.

Garden Wing Rooms (4) - features private courtyards with outdoor settings and tranquil garden views.  All feature king-size beds, TV and DVD with bath/shower in the ensuite.

The Lodge King Room (1) - the room has wheelchair access & disabled equipped bathroom with shower only. The room features a lounge/sitting area and king size bed.

The Lodge Suite (1) - is a two-room suite located in the Main Lodge and has garden and lake views.  The suite features the main bedroom with king size bed, spacious marble ensuite with large spa bath and separate shower.  The second room contains a relaxing lounge area with TV, CD player and a second ensuite.

Superior Spa Suites (8) - all have wonderful views of the lake and gardens. They feature king-size or twin beds, open plan ensuite with shower over a large spa bath and a lounge area with TV, DVD and CD player.

Forest Spa Suites (8) - situated in a woodland setting overlooking a private lake and surrounded by natural landscaping. All suites feature king-size or twin beds, luxury bathrooms with double spas and separate spacious walk in showers. The lounge area includes TV, DVD and CD player.

THE RESIDENCE (Minimum 3 couples, Maximum 5 couples) 
Sitting privately on its own three acres-The Residence boasts an expansive entertaining area with views across formal gardens and rolling lawns a private putting green, white sand bunker and tranquil water feature. Interiors throughout are light and understated, with beautiful fabrics, marble bathrooms and bench tops and expanses of timber floorboards throughout.

A golf course can be found within half an hour or for more active guests, join the locals down the beach for a surfing lesson or canoe on the Margaret River. Keep an eye out for a glimpse of a humpback whale making its way back home along the coast.

The surrounding region is rich with inspired works of art created by the many artists and crafts people who have found Margaret River’s spirit of place inspirational. The list of internationally and nationally acclaimed photographers, jewellers, painters, glass blowers and wood and metal working craftsmen is endless and days can be easily spent wandering the artisan trail.

Cape Lodge has also opened a Gourmet Retreat and Cooking School designed for culinary enthusiasts and those who appreciate the exclusive and tranquil surrounds of a boutique hotel. The cooking classes welcome participants from the complete novice through to the experienced enthusiast.

Gourmet Weekends are also scheduled throughout the year bringing together winemakers, food producers and lovers of food and wine. These weekends include master classes, tastings and winemakers dinners.
